General Service
A. Application.
This service is available to all Customers taking the type of service described in this rate schedule whose highest peak demand in the billing period and preceding eleven (11) months is equal to or greater than 0 kW and less than 50 kW for all service supplied at one point of delivery and taken through a single meter for the following purpose(s):
- all commercial and public uses.
Applicable for temporary and construction power but not for shared service.
B. Type of Service.
Single- or three-phase service at the Cooperative’s standard secondary distribution voltages, where available. Where service of the type desired by customer is not already available at the point of delivery, additional charges under the Cooperative’s line extension policy and special contract arrangements may be required prior to service being furnished.
C. Monthly Rate.
Each billing period the Customer shall be obligated to pay the following charges:
- Customer Charge $25.00 per meter This charge is for the availability of electric service; and
- Energy ChargeThis charge for the delivery of electric energy is applied to energy usage during the billing period as follows:Energy Charge: $0.92399 per kWh
D. Monthly Minimum Charge.
Each billing period the Customer shall be obligated to pay the following charges as a minimum, whether or not any energy is actually used:
- The minimum monthly charge as specified in the contract for service, or
- The basic Customer charge, or
- A charge of $1.00 per KVA of installed transformer capacity when transformers are installed for the sole use of the Customer, or
- A charge of $1.66 per horsepower on the sum of the motor(s), or other inductive-type electric devices(s), connected, plus
- Power Cost Recovery Factor Charges.
E. Minimum Annual Charge for Seasonal Service.
Customers requiring service only during seasons not exceeding nine (9) months per year must guarantee by contract a minimum monthly annual payment of twelve (12) times the minimum monthly charge, determined in accordance with the foregoing section.
F. Billing Adjustments.
This rate is subject to all applicable billing adjustments.
G. Agreement.
If a line extension is required in order to provide service to a consumer, an agreement for electric service with a fixed term may be required by the Cooperative. This rate schedule may be changed by order or consent of regulatory authorities having jurisdiction, or if none, by the Cooperative’s board of directors; service hereunder is subject to the Cooperative’s tariff for electric service.
H. Customer Owned and Maintained Facilities Discount.
If Consumer owns, operates and maintains all facilities for receiving the service at the supplied voltage, the monthly rate shall be reduced as follows:
- Demand Charge shall be reduced by 3%
and - Energy Charge shall be reduced by 3%
